From 7pm, Thursday 23 November
The Bread & Roses, 68a Clapham Manor Street, London SW4 6DZ
(Clapham North or Clapham Common tube)
The Clarion has just turned one and to celebrate we are holding a birthday party for the magazine at the Bread & Roses pub, owned by Battersea and Wandsworth Trades Council, in Clapham, South London, on Thursday 23 November. It will also be a fundraiser for the Picturehouse and McDonald’s strikers – the Trades Council has generously provided the venue for free so any money raised will go to the strikers.
We’ll have a variety of acts (more details soon), a few speeches and plenty of time for drinking and chatting. As well as supporting these vitally important workers’ struggles, it will be a great opportunity to find out more about The Clarion and our project of building a serious class-struggle socialist left in the Labour Party. Join us there.
Tickets £5 waged, £4 low waged, £3 unwaged (£3 for McDonald’s and Picturehouse workers). If you can give more, great, if you’re really hard up we’ll be flexible.
